March 5, 2024 (Spring Valley) -- Deputies are looking for a man suspected of kidnapping and stealing a vehicle in Spring Valley yesterday.
Shortly before 6 p.m., the victim called to report his car was stolen from the 500 block of Sweetwater Road with his 2-year-old daughter inside.
As deputies were responding to the area, the car was located at the intersection of Jamacha Road and Sweetwater Road. The toddler was found unharmed in her car seat and was reunited with her parents.
“Witnesses at Jamacha Road and Sweetwater Road stated a bald black male adult in a white shirt fled on foot from the car,” says Sergeant Brenan Lane. ”Deputies were unable to find the suspect after an exhaustive search of the area. This is being investigated as a kidnapping and auto theft case.”
