June 9, 2011 (Lakeside) – A driver is unconscious but breathing following a 100-mph crash into a tree on I-8 eastbound just east of Los Coches Road. The vehicle reportedly had a blow-out and lost control , according to the CHP webpage.
An off-duty law enforcement officer and off-duty medics were first on the scene of the crash involving a white Dodge Stratus. CHP are also at the scene.
The wreckage is off the roadway and lanes remain open as of 10 p.m.

that was crazy my husband & I were there , my husband even threw over his flaslight over the fence to the lady that helped the guy out, Hope he's doing ok!
