March 24, 2014 (El Cajon) – St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center is holding its 16th annual Morning Glory Brunch on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2119 E. Madison Ave., El Cajon. The brunch will feature complimentary food and beverage tastings from over 20 local restaurants, art work from SMSC students and local artists, silent and Chinese auctions and the famous great frog race.
Jasmine Creek Florists will also sponsor a special Arts Alive presentation of floral arrangements inspired by St. Madeleine’s student artwork.
The frog race will feature up to 750 rubber frogs individually numbered and purchased by participants. They will be launched into the pool as volunteer “Frogettes” splash to make the waves that propel the frogs to the finish line. The top 3 winners will share $10,000 in cash prize money. Frogs can be ‘adopted’ for $100 each by clicking here.
The brunch benefits adults with developmental disabilities attending St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center. For more information please contact Neil Fullerton or Julie Rausch at 619-442-5129.
