December 14, 2014 (San Diego’s East County) - On Saturday, the San Diego Sheriff's Department, San Diego Probation Department, and the Metropolitan Transit System conducted a probation compliance operation which resulted in twenty-eight arrests.

Deputies and probation officers swept through the Santee, Lakeside, and unincorporated areas of El Cajon throughout the day visiting the homes of fourteen probationers checking to see if they were abiding by the terms of their releases from county jail. Afterwards, deputies and trolley security officers conducted directed vehicle and foot patrols focusing on the riverbeds, parks, the Santee Trolley Station, and other public areas.

Arrests ranged from probation violations, possession of narcotics, theft related crimes, and warrants, said Sergeant Tom Seiver.
