ARMED AND DANGEROUS: MACHETE MURDER SUSPECT WANTED

November 12, 2015 (Rolando) – San Diego Police seek public help to locate Vicent “Chente” Garza Salas, 22.  He is suspected of murdering 43-year-old Vincente Carrera with a machete on Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. at a home in the 6800 block of Waite Drive in the Rolando area, just west of La Mesa.

A machete linked to the slaying has been found, however Salas is considered armed and dangerous and is known to carry knives. Police have described him as a heavy methamphetamine drug user with a history of violence.  He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall. 

Salas was reportedly a regular visitor at the home where the slaying occurred. 

  Anyone with information on Salas' whereabouts is asked to call San Diego Police at 619-531-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
