ARMED ROBBERY AT LEMON GROVE SUBWAY SHOP

July 10, 2015 (Lemon Grove)—The suspect in an armed robbery of a Subway sandwich shop in Lemon Grove Wednesday night remains at large.

The suspect, a black man 30-40 years old, wore a black beanie, sunglasses, gray long-sleeve shirt and black pants.  He had a black .45 caliber handgun tucked inside the waistband of his pants when he entered the shop at 6971 Broadway in Lemon Grove around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday.

He demanded cash and took money from the register. He was last seen running westbound on Broadway, Sergeant Matthew Cook III with the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s station reports. 

Deputies, with help from the ASTREA Sheriff’s helicopter, checked the immediate area but did not find the suspect. Detectives from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff Station will conduct the follow-up information.
