March 29, 2015 (San Diego)--  Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, a San Diego Democrat, was honored Thursday night with the Cesar Chavez Foundation’s Legacy Award for her career supporting immigrants and working families. In commemoration of Cesar Chavez Day, the awards are presented to those who exemplify excellence and unparalleled commitment to community empowerment and advocacy.

San Diego County Tribe Donates $10,000 to ALS Association

September 5, 2014 (Lakeside) – The Barona Band of Mission Indians is proud to join the worldwide effort to raise donations and awareness for the ALS Association through the Ice Bucket Challenge. Barona Tribal Chairman Clifford LaChappa proudly accepted the challenge from Sycuan Tribal Chairman Danny Tucker.

September 1, 2014 (San Diego) - Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego)--has four measure that she authored now on the Governor’s desk awaiting signature. The measures address medical and education issues, rights of homeowners, and protection for peace officers injured in the line of duty.
