BANK ROBBER CAUGHT ON TAPE: UP TO $1,000 REWARD OFFERED FOR FALLBROOK, ESCONDIDO SUSPECT

March 3, 2009 (San Diego)--San Diego County Crime Stoppers is joining forces with San Diego County Sheriff's Department Fallbrook detectives to help identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for robbing the Washington Mutual Bank in Fallbrook.

 

This same suspect may also be responsible for another bank robbery that occurred on January 30, 2009 at about 5:46 p.m. at the Pacific Western Bank, located at 900 Canterbury Place in Escondido. Detectives said on February 26, 2009, at approximately 6:000 p.m., an unknown suspect robbed the Washington Mutual Bank located at 1091 S. Mission Road in Fallbrook. The suspect used a demand note and no weapons were seen. After the robbery, the suspect fled in a silver or white two- door vehicle. The suspect is described as a white male, about 50 -55 years old, 5'8" tall, approximately 200 lbs. He was wearing a yellow short-sleeve shirt, a vest and khaki pants. He had on a baseball cap and dark sunglasses. A photo of the suspect was captured by bank surveillance cameras.Detectives are asking anyone with information on the identity and location of this suspect to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-TIPS (8477).

 

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime.
