BBQ AND DANCE AUGUST 6 IN ALPINE TO HELP CANCER SURVIVOR VICKI HALSEY

July 25, 2016 (Alpine) — Secret Hills Ranch in Alpine is hosting a barbecue, dance and silent auction on August 6th to help fund medical bills for colon cancer survivor Vicki Halsey, a horse trainer and advocate for children. The deadline for pre-purchasing dinners is August 1.

Dinner will be served from 3 to 7 p.m. The event also includes a silent auction (donations of items welcome) that ends at 6 p.m., petting zoo and jumpie for kids to enjoy.  Dancing will start at 5 p.m. Dinner costs $10.40 per person; petting zoo $2, jumpie $1; games and a playground are also available at $1 each.

After battling cancer for six years and undergoing several surgeries, Halsey is “officially cancer free,” according to a post on the Secret Hills Ranch Facebook page, which adds, “Now Vicki can focus on getting her health and life back.”
