BORREGO HEALTH COMPLETES MAJOR EXPANSION IN EL CAJON

Open House on March 25^th Will Show Off New Family Practice, Build Out of 2^nd Floor

March 25, 2016 (El Cajon) - Borrego Health announced the completion of the build-out of its flagship East County location in El Cajon, commonly known as Centro Medico El Cajon.   The completed project will increase capacity by up to 40%.  The El Cajon location currently sees 250 to 275 patients per day. 

“Borrego Health is committed to serving the community with high quality healthcare services,” stated Dr.  Alfredo Ratniewski, Chief Medical Officer of Borrego Health. “The goal of our medical staff is to continue to enhance the patient experience, better the integration of primary care and behavioral health while growing to meet the needs of the community.”

New exam rooms have been completed for Urgent Care, Family Practice, Women’s Health, Behavioral Health and Pediatrics.  “Borrego Health continues to invest in El Cajon and the East County community because of the growing needs of a very culturally diverse populous“, noted Gary Rotto, Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for Borrego Health.   “Residents of the area wish to be assured that their needs will be met through culturally appropriate care and in a language which they are most comfortable”.  

Services currently provided by Borrego Health at Centro Medico El Cajon include Internal Medicine, Family Practice Medicine, Pediatric Medicine, Behavioral Health Services, Urgent Care, Women’s Health Services and Podiatry. 

An Open House will be held on Friday, March 25^th from 5pm to 7pm at the health center, which is located at 133 West Main in El Cajon. Community partners joining Borrego Health and providing information and resources at the open house include the El Cajon Transition Living Center, Children Choice, Meals-on-Wheels, Home Start, Always Best Care Senior Services, St. Paul’s Senior Services, and County Aging & Independence Services.
