BORREGO SPRINGS RESIDENTS PROTEST PLACEMENT OF SEXUAL PREDATOR

April 7, 2014 (Borrego Springs)--Borrego Springs residents are holding a rally tonight night to oppose the release of a violent sexual predator into their community.   The California Department of State hospitals proposes to place Terry Stone at 2632 Frying Pan Road in Borrego Springs.

Terry Stone was convicted of molesting several children between the ages of 6 and 11.  He was previously proposed for release in Spring Valley but now plans have shifted and the state aims to place him in the desert community of Borrego Springs.

The rally will be held at Christmas Circle at 5 pm Monday evening, lead by the Superintendent of the Borrego Springs Unified School District, Martha Deichler. 

The public can also submit comments by April 11 by emailing comments to sdsafe@sdsheriff.net.  In addition public testimony will be taken at a hearing on May 2nd at  9 .a.m. in San Diego Superior Court, Department 53, at 220 West Broadway in downtown San Diego.
