January 24, 2011 (Borrego Springs) –Bambi Lynn Woodson, 53, was killed Saturday, January 22 at 8:45 a.m. in a rollover accident on Highway 78 in Borrego Springs, the San Diego Medical Examiner reports.
Woodson was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero eastbound when she veered across the westbound lane, onto the westbound shoulder, then over-corrected when trying to return to her lane, CHP reported. Her vehicle rolled over several times, ejecting her.
Passing motorists pulled up onto the accident and called 911. Medical personnel, CHP officers, and Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and CPR was initiated. She failed to respond and death was pronounced at the scene.
Woodson resided in Borrego Springs with her husband.
