July 2, 2014 (San Diego's East County) - WASHINGTON – With recent data showing an increase in sexual assaults on college campuses across the nation, U.S. Rep. Susan Davis (D-San Diego) is taking steps to make colleges safer. In the House of Representatives, Davis recently cosponsored the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act, which would require institutes of higher education to improve reporting of incidents of crimes on campus as well as report what measures are being implemented to prevent domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
