September 18, 2014 (Alpine)--An elderly woman was seriously injured after the vehicle she was driving flew off a freeway in Alpine on September 15th.
Lou Russo, a member of the Alpine Community Planning Group, told East County Magazine that he was on his way home from work when a car came off Interstate 8 and landed in front of his truck on Alpine Boulevard around 3:00 p.m.
The vehicle overturned. The victim was transported to a trauma unit in critical condition, the Incident Commander stated.
