September 4, 2011 (Chula Vista) -- The City of Chula Vista announced plans  in January of this year for the Chula Vista Centennial, a year-long celebration of events and community projects in 2011, to commemorate the City’s 100 years. 
 
 
Chefs de Cuisine --those talented culinary kings who cooked up a feast for East County Magazine's Summerfest--will be dishing up fine fare at Harbor Days as part of Chula Vista's Centennial celebration September 24-25.   Scroll down for details, as well as info on the Founder's Day Festival October 15.

All activities are organized by the Centennial’s Committee of 100 volunteers in partnership with community businesses, educational groups, and non-profit organizations and will continue through 2011.
 

September 24 & 25, 2011 – HARBOR DAYS:  Explore the waterfront history during the Harbor Days Extravaganza featuring tall ship tours, juried art show, wildlife discovery events, and more. In collaboration with the San Diego Unified Port District, the Big Bay, the Maritime Museum of San Diego, Chefs de Cuisine Association, and Arts Month Chula Vista, this free event will span from the southern “J” Street Bayfront Park, along Marina Parkway waterfront to the northern Bayview park bringing a fun-filled weekend to the community. October 15, 2011 – FOUNDER'S DAY FESTIVAL:  
Founder's Day celebrates the community with a day of history, music and fun. Chula Vista’s party of the century to feature live music, 2012 Olympic preview, culinary tasting area, craft beer garden, food and craft vendors and fireworks finale at scenic Olympic Training Center. http://www.chulavista100.com/party
