March 26 (Monday, 7:30 p.m.) — Warwick's will host Robin Oliveira to discuss and sign her new novel Winter Sisters. Robin Oliveira is the New York Times bestselling author of My Name Is Mary Sutter and I Always Loved You.

March 27 (Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.) — Acclaimed New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry has been a friend of Mysterious Galaxy for many years, including leading monthly meetings of the Writers Coffeehouse in-store, appearing with the Mysterious Galaxy booksellers at conventions, and encouraging readers to acquire signed copies of his works through MG's Upstream program. We’re excited for him to be signing his new book, Glimpse, on its release day! Glimpse is a chilling thriller that explores what happens when reality and nightmares converge, and how far one will go to protect the innocent when their own brain is a threat.

March 27 (Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.) — Warwick's will host Luis Alberto Urrea to discuss and sign his new book The House of Broken Angels. March 31 (Saturday, 2:00 p.m.) — Mysterious Galaxy is happy to be hosting Joe R. Lansdale for the latest title in his Hap and Leonard series (as seen on the Sundance channel)! In Jackrabbit Smile, Hap’s wedding barbecue gets crashed by Pentecostal white supremacists looking for help. The titular Jackrabbit, revivalist cult leader Judith Mulhaney’s daughter, has gone missing -- and Hap and Leonard are on the case.

April 2 (Monday, 7:00 p.m.)Jenn Polish signs Lunav (eBook). They don’t have dragons where half-faerie Sadie was born—not living ones, anyway—but in the Grove, everyone knows dragon eggs grow on trees like leaves and need Dreams to hatch. April 3 (Tuesday, 6:00 p.m.) — Adventures by the Book® is excited to offer a hands-on Latin tamale making workshop with Isabel Cruz at Isabel’s Cantina, 966 Felspar St., San Diego, CA 92109. The event is ticketed ($70 per person to include a cookbook) and is open to the public.

Popular San Diego chef and author Isabel Cruz brings her culinary Latin heritage front and center, adding to it the Asian influence she absorbed while growing up in Los Angeles. April 5 (Thursday, 6:30 p.m.) — Oceanside Big Read with Emily St. John Mandel with her new book, Station Eleven. One snowy night Arthur Leander, a famous actor, has a heart attack onstage during a production. Jeevan Chaudhary, is in the audience and leaps to his aid. A child actress named Kirsten Raymonde watches in horror as Jeevan performs CPR, pumping Arthur's chest as the curtain drops, but Arthur is dead. That same night, as Jeevan walks home from the theater, a terrible flu begins to spread.

April 6 (Friday, 7:00 p.m.)Sarah Andersen signs Herding Cats. Sarah Andersen is the illustrator of the popular online comic Sarah’s Scribbles, which has been posted with great success on Tumblr, Facebook, and Instagram. The Independent describes her relatable comics as “capturing the dilemmas of a bug-eyed millennial who feels ill-equipped for grown-up life.” Herding Cats is the third collection of her comics, preceded by Adulthood is a Myth and Big Mushy Happy Lump.

April 8 (Sunday, 11:30 a.m.) — Adventures by the Book® is excited to celebrate The Italian Party with New York Times bestselling author Christina Lynch at Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant, 10749 Westview Parkway, San Diego, CA 92126. March 26 (Monday, 6:30 p.m.) — Join the San Diego Writers/Editors Guild to learn about the San Diego Book Awards (SBDA) program from Jean Forsythe, SDBA president since 2015. Jean and members of her SDBA team, Tiffany Vakilian and Aida Dennehey, will update us on the work of the SDBA and its efforts to promote and reward local authors.

Jean Forsythe has won four writing awards including Best Unpublished Novel for Children from the San Diego Book Awards (2007). Since then, she has completed four novels, published several short pieces, and is currently working on a cozy mystery series.
