The main issue near the airport

Is the dramatic increase in the number of student pilots being trained and residents have complained of some flights they say are lower than what's legal. There is a question of public safety, and also increased noise. Those who lived there for many years claim that flight paths have been changed along with a sharp increase in air traffic over what it has been in the past. The other issue is there is some new evidence about how harmful airplane emissions are, such as lead in fuel, that nobody knew about years ago. There are of course also many arguments in favor of the airport expansion and flight schools, but this is not just business as usual at the airport, it does seem to be a significant increase in the risks and annoyances posed to neighbors.
