COUNTY SEEKS NOMINEES FOR PUBLIC HEALTH CHAMPION AWARDS

January 23, 2017 (San Diego) – The County of San Diego is seeking nominations for the Live Well San Diego 2017 Public Health Champion Awards Ceremony. The deadline to submit applications is February 17th.

The awards ceremony is Public Health Services’ signature event in celebration of National Public Health Week (NPHW) April 3-9, 2017.  The awards recognize extraordinary achievements, by individuals and organizations, in areas of public health services that protect and promote the health of San Diego County residents. The theme for this year is "Healthiest Nation 2030 - Create the Healthiest Nation in One Generation.” 

The awards were created to recognize the role of public/private collaboration in advancing health and wellness throughout the County's diverse populations. Important Timelines:

February 17, 2017                   Deadline for Application Submission

March 10, 2017                        Final Awardees Notified

April 3, 2017                          Live Well San Diego Public Health Champions Awards Ceremony County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway

Registration opens at 12:30 p.m., the event starts promptly at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the board chambers (Room 310) with overflow on the 4th floor and directly above the Chambers.
