June 25, 2016 (San Diego’s East County) – The County of San Diego Department of Animal Services is still seeking the owner of this dog found with burned paws during the Border Fire.

“Our veterinary staff changed his bandages last night and his prognosis continues to be good,” Animal Services posted on Facebook today.”He is still wary of people but with moving slow, we can pet him and try and get him to take his meatball with his medicine (which he did after the pictures were taken).”

Animal Services added they are considering naming him “Little Joe" in honor of the KGTV News Reporter Joe Little who helped to rescue him.
