January 7, 2012 (Santee)  -- Grossmont Adult School will be offering a
42-hour - Healthcare Interpreting Class at the Health Occupations Center, 9368 Oakbourne Road, Room 5, Santee CA 92071. This class prepares bilingual individuals with the skills, knowledge, and ethics to present accurate healthcare interpreting for people who do not speak English.
 
Join this hands-on practical class, and apply strategies used by professional interpreters. The class will be taught by Roberta Gottfried, Wednesdays: 6:00 p.m. – 9:15 p.m., beginning January 18 through May 2, 2012 and the class fee is $65.00. A Certificate will be awarded after completion of all requirements.
 
Accreditation -The Grossmont Adult School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Accreditation is an assurance of quality and a guarantee that classes taken for credit will be accepted for credit by other educational institutions. All teachers are certified in their teaching field by the State Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing. Additionally, courses offered through the Grossmont Health Occupations Center meet the necessary requirements as set forth by the State of California.
