May 21, 2010 (El Cajon) – Here come the brides! At last, East County has a one-stop-shop for wedding needs—as well as free beauty services, musical entertainment, prize drawings, raffle, auction, bridal gown modeling, and more.
East County Magazine and La Dolce Belladonna Spa & Salon have forged a marriage made in heaven to offer this special event on Sunday, June 6 from 12 to 4 p.m. at La Dolce Belladonna Salon & Spa, 596 Westwind Drive in El Cajon (just south of Fletcher Parkway in the Fletcher Hills area.) The event is free to the public and fun for everyone.
The Bridal & Beauty Fair marks culmination of East County Magazine’s new weddings section, which also includes “Getting Hitched in East County” (a guide to wedding venues in our region, from lush wineries to mountain resorts), a weddings resources section, plus new articles being added weekly on topics ranging from photography tips to hints for the budget-minded bride. At the Bridal & Beauty Fair, you’ll find a wealth of resources for planning any event – even if you’re not a bride or groom. Beauty experts from La Dolce Belladonna (nominated best hair salon in 2009) will offer hair, makeup and nail treatments. Other vendors include wedding photographers, florists, bridal wear including new and vintage wedding gowns, wedding cake bakeries, a videographer, caterers, limousine services, jewelers, specialty gift retailers, a bridal registry, massage therapists, a vintage chauffeuring company, DJ entertainment services, and even a travel agency to help you plan the perfect honeymoon! The event will also include prizes ranging from wine-tasting to grand prizes certain to add excitement to any bachelorette party: a night’s stay in the celestial suite at Angel’s Landing Country Inn in Julian, plus a bachelerotte party with swashbuckling “Sam the Pirate!” This charming Johnny Depp look-alike will escort you and your friends on a night of merrymaking in a chauffeured limousine.
