October 10, 2015 (El Cajon)--If you are hungry and looking for a great place to eat with a Middle Eastern flavor, Ali Baba is the place for you.

Ali Baba Family Restaurant is an authentic Middle Eastern dining spot with a wide variety of  great tasting Middle Eastern food; reasonable pricing and  plentiful quantity. The restaurant facade features murals and Moorish-style arches, with additional Middle Eastern embellishments inside.

Ali Baba has two locations. In East County, you can visit 421 East Main Street, at the corner of Main and Ballantyne in downtown El Cajon.

Ali Baba has a variety of different food items, such as salad, hummus, pita bread, kale, tabouli, three kinds of kabobs: chicken, beef and lamb. There are also three kinds of tekka: chicken, beef and lamb. Plus they serve chicken or beef shawarma, plus shawarma with hummus. Plus they serve whole chicken, sliced chicken, different kinds of sandwiches, veggie dishes.

They are most known for their feast which serves anywhere from three to ten people. The feast includes chicken, beef, lamb, pickled turnips, onions, tomatoes, and saffron rice.
