February 13, 2014 (San Diego's East County) - The Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors, a trade group for San Diego-area realtors who serve East County and South County communities, will host a free class for realtors on the process of selling homes offered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at the PSAR East County Service Center, 1150 Broadway, El Cajon.

The class will be taught by Lani Sylvas of Coldwell Banker West. Information will be available on writing a HUD sales contract, bidding strategies, marketing ideas, financing programs and new changes for 2014, including a new buyer select program. A HUD home is a property acquired by HUD as a result of a foreclosure action on an FHA-insured mortgage. HUD becomes the property owner and offers it for sale to recover the loss on the foreclosure claim. For more information, call PSAR at (619) 579-0333, or visit www.psar.org.
