Violence in Baja

I have not gone to TJ, Ensenada, or San Felipe for a long time. It was a place to go shopping, camping, or where I rented a nice room for $60 US Dollars. If you visit don't wear a lot of jewelry or flash your cash. Respect the local customs and try to speak some Espanol, even if your Spanish is poor people will appreciate your effort to speak their language. I kayaked to Smith Island and was stranded there when winds made it unsafe to return to the shore.
