EL CAJON MAN ARRESTED FOR WIFE'S MURDER

June 4, 2013 (El Cajon) -- A man who called police to report that his wife was not breathing on Sunday night is under arrest for murder.  Police found Gankil Wijdan, 39, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Medics tried to revive her but she was pronounced dead at the scene.  During question of Wijdan's husband, Salem Zora, 47, police found "inconsistencies" in his story, Lt. Mike Moulton with El Cajon Police stated.

Zora was arrested yseterday morning and is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.  Detectives searched the apartment and also removed two dumpsters in their search for evidence, according to ECM news partner 10 News.

The couple, who had no children, did not have a known history of domestic violence and authorities do not know the motive for the vicious attack. Anyone with information is asked to call El Cajon Police at (619)579-3311.
