April 3, 2018 (El Cajon) – Robert Diedrich, 53, suffered a minor, non-life threatening gunshot wound to his stomach tonight at his home.  He was treated and released at the scene, according to Lt. Randy Soulard with El Cajon Police.

“The shooting is believed to have occurred during a domestic disturbance between the victim and his wife, who had fled the scene on foot,” Lt. Soulard says.  Police were called to the home at 1327 Marline Avenue at 8:34 p.m.

After a ground and air search, the firearm used in the shooting was recovered and Theresa Diedrich, 50, was taken into custody. She has been booked into jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call the El Cajon Police Dept. at (619) 579-3311.
