The El Cajon Police Department is holding a total of five Community Neighborhood Forums called “Sector Watch”. Well over 100 people attended the first Sector Watch Forum at Fletcher Hills Elementary School on May 4th. Additional forums are set for May 11, 18 and 26, as well as June 2.

"It was a very positive exchange, including compliments for the police department in answering calls to a variety of issues, such as burglaries. There was also praise for Neighborhood Watch in Sector 6, encouraging others to join the program," stated a press release issued by the City of El Cajon.

If you missed the first Sector Watch meeting, there will be four more - please check the schedule below.

These meetings provide opportunities for residents to ask Police and other City representatives questions, or voice concerns about a neighborhood. Topics addressed at previous forums have been traffic, graffiti and gangs, while several residents came to say “thank you” for a job well done. Residents may also sign up for a Neighborhood Watch program.

Police Community Forums are scheduled for the following sectors:

Sector 7 - May 11th - 6:00 p.m. - Bostonia Elementary School, 1390 Broadway

Sector 8 - May 18th - 6:00 p.m. - First Presbyterian Church, 500 Farragut Circle
