February 25, 2015 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police announce the arrest of a woman accused of posing as a customer at a hair salon at 437 East Main Street on Wednesday, then robbing an employee at gunpoint after receiving treatment at the salon.

A witness saw the suspect flee in a dark SUV and took a cell phone picture of the vehicle and its license plate.  El Cajon Police officers located the vehicle in a parking lot of a commercial building at 3835 Avocado in the unincorporated area of the county.

Officers searched on foot and found the suspect, 44-year-old Shannin Marsh, walking around the complex.  She was arrested and evidence linking her to the robbery was found, although the handgun was not located, said Lieutenant Mike Moulton.

Marsh is also under investigation as a possible suspect in another crime, since she matches the description of a suspect wanted for an armed carjacking attempt reported to the Sheriff’s office in the area near her arrest.
