June 10, 2013 (Lakeside) – Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant in the 12000 block of Old Barona Road in Lakeside on June 5 and found a large marijuana cultivation, Sgt. Craig Johnson reports.

During the search, two women, ages 83 and 61, were detained but not arrested. The house on the property had been burned down during the Cedar fires and had not been rebuilt. The women were living in tents on the property.

There were five large newly constructed sheds on the property, which all were being used for an indoor marijuana cultivation operation. In addition, there were marijuana plants being grown in outdoor green houses. In total, there were 59 dried and cut marijuana plants, multiple jars of marijuana buds, along with 433 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

Also located on the property were suspected psilocybin spores, and a hash oil extraction lab. The Integrated Narcotic's Task Force also responded and assisted in the investigation. Additional suspects are being sought, and the investigation is ongoing.
