April 1, 2015 (San Diego’s East County) - A emergency medical technician with Rural/Metro of San Diego is charged with sexual assault of  a minor in East County, 10 News reports.

Court documents indicate that 23-year-old Zachary Stinchcomb met a 15-year-old girl in an online forum called Meetme.com and pretended that he was only 17 years old. After meeting in person, the two began having a sexual relationship.

But after she met someone else and ended the relationship, she accepted a ride to school from Stinchcomb.  According to the warrant, he drove her elsewhere, pinned her down with her arms above her head and ran a pocket knife down her body, cutting off her underwear and assaulting her—all while wearing his medic’s uniform.

ECM news partner 10 News attempted to contact Stinchcomb and his lawyer, who did not respond.  Rural/Metro told 10 News that the EMT has been suspended without pay.
