September 27, 2017 (Mt. Helix) – Michael Todd Littlefield, 50, was taken into custody Monday on Weston Road near Grandview in the Mt. Helix area. “Littlefield had a felony warrant for auto theft,” Ryan Keim, Media Relations Director for the San Diego Sheriff department informed East County Magazine.
He added, “The Sheriff’s Department thanks the community for being so alert and calling deputies” regarding the “suspicious person,” he added.
Neighbors had reported a suspicious vehicle parked overnight – a light or silver BMW.
Keim indicated the suspect was arrested “without incident.”
Rena Mulvey, a neighbor, says she saw a sheriff’s officer talking to a man who had parked the car under a tree on her property. Two more sheriff cars arrived. “After another 20 minutes passed, an ambulance and fire truck responded with sirens,” she said. “The man was moved from patrol car to ambulance in handcuffs.” She indicated the suspect was “pretty out of it” when moved to the ambulance and transported to a hospital.
Keim says the ambulance was due to an “unrelated medical issue.”
An online search reveals that a Michael Todd Littlefield was previously convicted by a jury of transporting a controlled substance, reckless driving while evading a police officer, receiving stolen property, and driving while under the influence. Read more:
