FIRE IN LA MESA; EVACUATIONS ORDERED

Update:  Firefighters have extinguished the fire and limited damage to $10,000. Evacuations of neighboring businesses were done and Hazmat called as a precaution, however no chemicals were found to have burned.

 

September 20, 2011 (La Mesa) – A Hazmat team is on the scene of a one-alarm fire at a strip mall store at 8274 Parkway Drive, where smoke is showing from the roof of a pool supply store. Evacuations are underway, Incident Page Network reports.
