FIRE TRAINING EXERCISES IN ALPINE THIS WEEK

June 7, 2016 (Alpine) -- San Diego County Fire Chiefs, in cooperation with the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians and the community of Alpine, are conducting their annual Fire Preparedness Exercise June 6 – 8, 2016 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m...  Emergency Service Agencies from throughout San Diego County will come together to prepare for the upcoming fire season.

Regional firefighting forces will come together for training inclusive of emergency communications, firefighter survival, structure defense and hose deployments under simulated emergency conditions. Also participating in this three day training event will be firefighting aircraft from throughout San Diego County.

 These water- dropping aircraft will join ground forces in coordinated fire attacks under simulated fire conditions. Approximately 750 firefighters will be participating in the training exercises over the three days.
