April 16, 2016 (Jacumba Hot Springs) – Quirky and fun, Jacumba Hot Springs’ community-wide yard sale takes place on Saturday, May 7th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Old Highway 80 and Railroad Station.

Besides shopping for yard sale finds and perusing hand-made arts and crafts item, you can also take a ”ride” in a flying saucer for a unique photo opportunity courtesy of Coyote’s Flying Saucer Retrieval and Repair Service (free, though donations welcome). Plus you can tour the Chinese Castle, where rumors swirl about its infamous past.

Was the castle a gift from a sea captain to his bride? Did a murder once occur there?  Is there a smuggler’s tunnel to Mexico?  Find out fact vs. fiction on the tour, which costs $5.  Buy your wrist band for the tour at the registration booth at the yard sale.

Booth rentals are available for $10 at this event. Contact Myra Price, Jacumba Women’s Club, at 619-766-4264.  Proceeds from space rentals benefit the Jacumba Middle School Swim Day lunch sponsored by the nonprofit Highland Community Center.
