April 22, 2011 (Santa Ysabel) –Visit a pre-1840 North American fun trade encampment and see history come alive at the Manzinita High Mountain Rendezvous. The event also showcases frontier skills such as fire starting, tomahawk, and shooting with rifle, pistol, shotgun, smoothbore and primitive bow.

These events and more will take place at the Santa Ysabel Ranch, where tipis and tents will be pitched April 28-May 8. Guests are encouraged (but not required) to wear period attire as you step back in time.

A $4 fee allows visitors to attend and watch participants from organized fur trading and shooting organizations as they compete and demonstrate their skills. Traders will sell wares from 1700-1850.
