HEARTLAND FIRE AND RESCUE OPEN HOUSE EVENTS OCTOBER 13, 2012

October 4, 2012 (East County, San Diego) -- Heartland Fire & Rescue will be hosting three Fire Open House events on Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Lemon Grove, El Cajon and La Mesa. 

This is an opportunity to receive free safety tools and important lessons for you and your children.

In Lemon Grove:

Heartland Fire & Rescue Pancake Breakfast & Open House

Time: Join us for Breakfast- 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. & Open House from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Location: 7853 Central Avenue.

In El Cajon:

El Cajon Safety & Career Expo

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Location: Station 6; 100 E. Lexington Avenue.

Enjoy a day of safety, meet-and-greets and fun!  If your kids ride a bike, come to the FREE kids’ safety helmet giveaway – while supplies last. Over 40 safety & health organizations will be on display.  

Make sure to join us for these special highlights:

·        Welcome Ceremony at 12:00pm noon

·        Police K-9 Demonstration at 12:30 p.m

·        Meet Smokey the Bear, Red E. Fox – (9-1-1 for Kids mascot) & Mother Goose! 

·        Home Depot Kids Work Shop
