April 13, 2013 (San Diego’s East County) – A developing low pressure trough in the west is forecast to drive westerly winds across the mountains and deserts through Tuesday. Strong, gusty winds will likely cause blowing dust and sand in desert areas, causing hazardous driving conditions.

Gusts of 58 miles per hour and sustain winds of at least 40 mph may occur.

Watch for blowing sand in desert areas and sudden cross-winds which can making driving difficult, particularly for high profile vehicles.
