November 21, 2010 (El Cajon) -- 'Tis the Season to be jolly, and you'll find a variety of fun family holiday events, promotions, prizes, shopping, and dining specials in Downtown El Cajon. Here’s a list of holiday events, starting with “After the Goose” shopping specials today. Other upcoming events include First Fridays, Cajon Classic Cruise Parade of Lights, Festive Fridays, and Christmas on the Prescott. Plus learn how you can win prizes with a “shopper passport” from Downtown El Cajon.

After The Goose!

Wondering what to do following the Mother Goose Parade? Don't rush off! Downtown El Cajon invites you to experience After the Goose! -- a special holiday promotion. Join us for free rides on the Holly Jolly Trolley double-decker bus, music, and the unveiling of our downtown storefront holiday displays. Shops and restaurants will be offering a variety of treats, specials and shopping discounts. Vote for the Best Window Display and get your downtown Holiday Passport stamped. You'll be entered into an opportunity drawing for a chance to win wonderful free prizes.


First Fridays

Join us for a First Fridays Christmas in Downtown El Cajon! Stores and restaurants will be open and offering a variety of First Fridays deals and specials. Ride the free Holly Jolly Trolley around downtown and enjoy strolling Christmas carolers, Christmas spirit, and more!
 

Cajon Classic Cruise Parade of Lights

Don't miss the annual Cajon Classic Cruise Parade of Lights classic car show in Downtown El Cajon. This night of lights features a visit with Santa Claus, free rides on the Holly Jolly Trolley, strolling Christmas carolers, merchant specials and promotions, live dance performances, clowns, face painting, a special opportunity prize drawing for a $1,200 Maaco of Santee gift certificate, and The Salvation Army Toy Drive.

Christmas on Prescott
Saturday, December 18, 2010
1:00 to 5:00 pm
A unique and very special Chaldean Christmas Celebration on Prescott Promenade, with Christian Arabic carols and music, English carols and music, skits, Santa Claus, face painting, balloons, and more. In addition, downtown stores and restaurants are open while you enjoy the free Holly Jolly Trolley around downtown, strolling Christmas carolers, merchant specials, and more.

Enter Prize Drawing with Shopper Passport!

Enter contest for a chance to win a free prize! Visit any five (5) participating Downtown El Cajon businesses between November 21 and December 19. Have your passport stamped by each business you visit and vote for the best window decoration. Then simply enter your passport for a chance to win wonderful prizes! Here's how:
1. Get your passport stamped at five (5) Downtown El Cajon businesses.
2. Fill out the registration page of your passport with your contact information.
3. Vote for the Best Merchant Window Display on the registration page.
4. Place your passport with at least 5 stamps into the collection box at any participating business.
 

Pick up a Holiday Shopper Passport at any participating Downtown El Cajon business. Click here to see a list of participating businesses.

 

Prize winners will be drawn from those passports submitted by 5:00 pm on December 19. The drawing will occur the week of December 20 and all winners will be contacted directly by December 22.
