November 14, 2016 (San Diego)--Thanks giving is quickly approaching and did you know Thanksgiving Day is the leading day for home cooking fires, with three times as many occurring on Thanksgiving as any other day of the year? “Thanksgiving is a fun, festive holiday, but it’s also very hectic says Fire Chief Sam DiGiovanna. “All the entertaining and distractions make it easy to forget about what’s cooking on the stovetop.”

November 3, 2016 (El Cajon) - On Saturday, December 3, the ACES Foundation will be hosting the sixth annual Jingle Paws 1K and 5K Fun Walk from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College.  Registration is from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

FALL IN LOVE WITH PARKS THIS MONTH

November 2, 2016 (San Diego’s East County) -- Give thanks all month through several fall and Thanksgiving-themed happenings at San Diego County Parks. Take a pilgrimage to one or all three of the community gatherings in the East County.

The trio of events is free and open to all ages. There is a $3 parking fee at Louis A. Stelzer and El Monte parks.

October 5, 2016 (Rancho San Diego) -- The Aces Foundation invites you and your dog to participate in the 6th annual Jingle Paws Walk for Pets on December 3rd.  Festivities begin at 9:00am with a warm-up from Leash Your Fitness and a Blessing of the Animals; the walk begins immediately after in the amphitheater at the Garden at Cuyamaca College, traveling throughout the campus.
