HOT GREEN EVENTS: SUSTAINABLE ENERGY WEEK SEPT. 12-16

The California Center for Sustainable Energy announces Sustainable Energy Week Sept. 12-16. Activities include a free Family Energy Day & Street Smart event September 12, Clean Energy Tours September 14 and 15, and a Clean Energy Conference September 16.

 

Family Energy Day and Street Smart on September 12 will be tons of free, family fun with food, entertainment, plenty of parking plus zero emission cars, bikes and scooters to look at, sit in and test drive. This year features more activities for kids including Ms. Smarty Plants, the sOccket energized soccer ball, the Big Green Energy Bus, Coast Keeper activities and The Green Learning Adventure with our very own Dr. Andrea Cook. Also enjoy live entertainment all day on a solar-powered stage and workshops all day long including a panel with GM, Nissan and Toyota at 11:30am. You can also enter to win a solar water heating system for your home (value $9800) and other prizes including Chargers vs. Denver Broncos Monday Night Football tickets.

 

The Clean Energy Tours on September 14 and 15 are filling up fast. This year includes two days of cutting-edge energy sites including the ICE storage facility, Hotel Indigo, the SDSU Aquaplex and Qualcomm.

 

At the Clean Energy Conference on September 16, there will be more than forty experts and hundreds of local leaders to answer energy questions. Plus the Green Career Network suite features training programs, resources and resume review and exhibits, lunch and post-conference networking on the terrace overlooking San Diego Bay.
