HOT PROWL BURGLARY IN COLLEGE AREA

April 23, 2014 (San Diego) – Campus police at San Diego State University have sent an alert warning students about a hot prowl burglary that occurred around 3:50 a.m. this morning.  A female victim awakened to find an unknown man burglarizing her apartment.

He fled when she screamed, taking her iPhone, wallet and laptop computer.

The suspect entered the apartment in the 5700 block of Montezuma by removing a screen and climbing through an open window. He is described as an African-American adult age.

 The San Diego Police Department is handling the investigation (Case#14-0016249).
