December 10, 2010 (La Mesa) – La Mesa’s downtown village transforms into a Victorian-style wonderland December 10th and 11th from 5-10 p.m. The annual Christmas in the Village celebration features horse-drawn carriages, bonfires on La Mesa Boulevard, strolling minstrels, carolers, street entertainers, puppets, carnival rides and Santa Claus.

All specialty shops, boutiques and restaurants will be open late during the event for holiday shoppers. La Mesa’s downtown area has many unique stores offering everything from antique furnishings and vintage clothing to new gifts, glassware, clocks, books, toys and much more. There are also many restaurants in the downtown village area, centered at the intersection of La Mesa Blvd. and Spring Street.
