May 17, 2016 (La Mesa) - La Mesa Historical Society has partnered with the Rotary Club of La Mesa in celebrating the unique and inspiring history of La Mesa with the installment of eleven new photo plaques spread throughout the downtown "village". The photo plaques are part of an effort to educate the community and its visitors of the rich La Mesa history. 

The unveiling event will happen in the Historic Downtown Core and will be followed by a tour of all plaque sites, led by Historian Jim Newland.

The event will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 19 at 8241 La Mesa Blvd.
