March 25, 2015 (La Mesa)—In this era of tight budgets, the City of La Mesa has launched a “Go Fund Me” online drive to raise money to help defray costs of the 19th annual Flag Day Parade.  The annual salute to Old Glory will be held on Saturday, May 30th down La Mesa Boulevard, with pre-parade concerts by the La Mesa Middle School and Parkway Middle School bands.

Donations made through the online fundraising site at www.gofundme.org/N507LG will be used to defray costs including public safety, transportation for school marching bands, public address equipment and public restrooms. The goal is to raise $15,000.

For more information contact the Parade committee at FlagDayHelp@ci.la-mesa.ca.us or visit the City website at www.cityoflamesa.com/FamilyFun.
