September 8, 2014 (Lakeside) –A Lakeside couple is under arrest following a robbery in which employees at a Home Depot store in Poway were threatened with a makeshift flamethrower.

Ignacio Brambila allegedly stole tools by hiding them in a baby stroller.  When workers confronted him outside the store, he grabbed an aerosol can, sprayed its flammable contents toward the workers and ignited the liquid with a cigarette lighter, said Sergeant Chad Boudreau with the Sheriff.

No one was injured in the attack.  The suspect drove off in a car along with his wife, Sarah, and their 18-month old toddler.

Deputies pulled them over a short distance away and found the stolen merchandise in their trunk.

The couple was arrested on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy, child cruelty and assault with the intent to commit a felony. The husband was also booked for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Their toddler, along with their twin 12-year-old sons, have been taken into protective custody.
