May 4, 2015 (La Mesa) -- Myra Witzer, a strong willed woman in her late thirties, is determined to get married at any cost and Leonard Shank, an unassuming man in his early forties, is the guy she goes after and gets, much against his will. After several months of married life, Myra realizes that the chase excited her more than the capture and wants out. On the other hand, Leonard, who at the beginning wanted no part of the marriage, now wants to stay married to her more than anything. Now that he's fallen for her, will Leonard be able to convince her that he's her prince charming?

Last Chance Romance is directed by Jay Mower, who has been at the helm of a multitude of audience favorites in the San Diego theater community. “I was drawn to this script, not only because I found wonderful humor on every page,” Mower explains, “but the play also has a powerful message. Is it true that we seem to want what we don't have? That the grass is greener on the other side of the fence? The thrill is in the chase? Once we get what we seek, it doesn't quite live up to our expectations? The more we try to plan our life, the less it seems to work out the way we'd hoped?” Don’t miss this delightful comedy to find out and decide for yourself.

The play runs May 15 – June 7, 2015, and features Tracy Alderman, Mary Friedel, Jane Harris, Lauren Preski, Paul Roger, Daniel R. Sky. Curtain times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.

General Admission is $20, Seniors and Students are $17, and group rates are available for 10 or more. Purchase tickets online at www.LamplightersLaMesa.com To reserve, call 619.286.3685 or email boxoffice@lamplighterslamesa.com
