June 1, 2014 (El Cajon) – A man accused of stabbing his mother to death and wounding his 14-year-old brother shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday is under arrest.
El Cajon Police officers responded to a 911 call of a family disturbance at the home at 548 Ballantyne Avenue, where they found the two victims suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her teen son was taken to a hospital for treatment by Heartland Fire/Paramedics.
Identities of the family members have not yet been released by authorities.
Detectives are actively investigating this incident as a homicide. As additional information becomes available a follow up press release will be sent out.
