August 13, 2014 (El Cajon)--Last October, an 18-year-old student was held at knifepoint by a man who forced her into her car at Grossmont College, then began sexually assaulted her. But thanks to a passerby who saw her struggling and honked his horn, the assailant ran off and the victim was freed.

On Tuesday, the man who assaulted the student at Grossmont College was sentenced to ten years in state prison and ordered to register as a sex offender for life.  Anthony Jerome Washington Jr. pled guilty to assault with intent to commit rape.

The 27-year-old perpetrator was sentenced by Judge Laura Halgren at the El Cajon courthouse.
