MARIJUANA DISPENSARY BURGLARIZED - THEN BUSTED--IN LAKESIDE

May 9, 2014 (Lakeside) – Sheriff’s deputies from the Santee station responded to a report of a burglary at the Aurora Green Dispensary at 8575 Los Coches Road, #2, in Lakeside.  After searching the area, they found Wendell Coleman, 37, hiding in bushes on nearby Snow White Drive and arrested him. Coleman had a large amount of marijuana and baked marijuana goods in his possession that the business owner identified as stolen property, said Lt. George Calderon.

But soon the owner, Blanca Estela Chavez, was also arrested after the investigation found that the dispensary was not licensed.  Deputies obtained a search warrant and confiscated  $40,000 worth of marijuana. The owner was arrested and chared with possession of marijuana for sales and possession of concentrated cannabis.

Coleman was charged with burglary and transported to the County Jail.

The Sheriff's Licensing Unit responded to the location and served Ms. Chavez with a Cease and Desist order at the scene. This investigation is continuing,  with the San Diego County Narcotics Task Force assisting
