‘Create Your Life’ provides adult re-entry students an overview of available support

July 31, 2014 (El Cajon) – The Grossmont College Adult Re-entry program will host an orientation, “Create Your Life,” from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 6, in Griffin Gate, located in building 60, room 180, in Griffin Center at Grossmont College.

The orientation will provide prospective students an overview of the training opportunities and support available at Grossmont College. The orientation will feature Grossmont College alumna and former adult re-entry student, Trina Hester, KPBS assistant general manager of development, who will facilitate a panel discussion featuring former Grossmont College re-entry students, and addressing their challenges and successes while balancing families and work schedules.

In addition, event attendees will learn about support services available from the following support and instructional services:

·         Admission & Records and the online application process

·         Registration procedures

·         Financial Aid

·         Learning Technology Resource Center and tutoring

·         Career, Student Employment Programs and Counseling

·         Academic programs including Office Professional Training, Career and Technical Education, and Allied Health Programs

The Grossmont College Adult Re-entry program is designed for those looking to recareer, upgrade skills or earn a degree. To RSVP, please call the Adult Re-entry Center at 619-644-7697 or 619-644-7615, or sign up at the door on the day of the orientation. Free parking will be available in Parking Lot 7.
